Can I mail my defensive driving certificate to the court?
I recently received a traffic ticket and was required by the court to go to traffic school. Now that I have my certificate of completion, how can I submit it to the court? Can I send my defensive driving certificate in the mail?

I’m sorry to hear that you got a ticket!
Once you’ve completed school, you’ll have to present a certificate of completion to the courts. And yes, you can mail your defensive driving certificate to the court’s provided address. You can also present it in person. One note—if you send the certificate through the mail, don’t forget to include your receipt of payment.
Remember, it’s your responsibility to ensure that the document arrives at the court by the established due date. If you’re submitting your certificate via the mail, you’ll want to make sure you consider how long it will spend in transit. If the due date is quickly approaching, you may have to invest in expedited shipping.
Some courts will have additional specific requirements for submitting your traffic school certificate of completion. You may have to include a copy of your ID, specific paperwork provided by the court, and/or a signed form. Additionally, some courts may require your traffic school to electronically transmit confirmation that the course was successfully completed.
