Can I insure a new car that isn't titled to me?

How can I get insurance for a car that isn't technically mine? My grandmother bought a new car last night, but she doesn't drive anymore. I drive her everywhere, so she wants to "ride around in style." How can I make sure both I and the car are adequately insured?

“Yes, there is a way to insure both you and your grandmother’s new car safely. It is wonderful that you can be such a help to her!
Since your grandmother is the owner of the car, the
car insurance
would need to be under her name. She can add you to the policy as an additional driver.
Do you have your own car and insurance policy? If so, let your grandmother’s insurance agent know. They may be able to add you to the policy as a non-rated driver since you have your policy.
Non-rated drivers don’t cost anything when added to an insurance policy.
Depending on your driving record, this update shouldn’t change the rate of her policy much. But, if it does, help her shop around for
cheaper insurance
