Can I get a full coverage car insurance policy if I don't own a car?

I will be living in Seattle for six months and I don't have a car. My friend said I could borrow hers while I am here and I want to make sure I am covered. Can I get full coverage on her car?

“That’s nice that your friend is letting you use her car while you are there! There are a few ways to ensure you are a covered driver.
The simplest way is for her to add you as an active driver on her
car insurance policy
. If she only has one car and you have a good driving record, it might not cost her anything at all for you to be included on her policy.
If your
driving record
has some recent accidents and tickets, then you might want to get your own policy. An NNO (named non-owner) policy may be a good option!
NNO policies are
liability policies
that work well for people who rent or borrow cars frequently. You would be covered for any vehicle you drive. Unfortunately, NNO policies do not have a full coverage option.
The best way to get a policy started is by downloading the
Jerry
app. Jerry shops low rates with over 50 insurance providers, including Nationwide and Allstate. The best part? They help you find your ideal policy free of charge.”
