Can I drive without a license in Mississippi?

Do I need to get a license? I don't have a license because usually I only have to drive short distances (to the store or doctor's appointments). I also use farm equipment on roads.

Driving without a license on public roads and highways is illegal in
Mississippi
with a few exceptions:
  • Farmers driving farm equipment
  • Military personnel
  • Railroad engineers
As per Mississippi's driving laws, unlicensed driving is considered a misdemeanor and the court can issue a fine of $200 to $500 and jail time of two days to six months for this violation.
Valid
car insurance
is also required to drive legally in Mississippi.
