Can I connect to Bluetooth in a 2018 Dodge Journey?
I’ll be driving my mom’s Dodge Journey for a while while I’m in town for a visit, and I’d really like to get my phone connected to the Bluetooth. It should be simple enough, but I can’t seem to get it accomplished. Do you know how to connect to the Bluetooth in a 2018 Dodge Journey?

Isn’t it funny how the technology that’s supposed to make things easier often does the exact opposite? Depending on the trim level and features, it may not be possible to connect Bluetooth in a 2018 Dodge Journey.
The base models of 2018 Dodge Journeys do not come equipped with Bluetooth, however the Crossroad and GT trim levels do.
If your mom’s Journey is the base model, look into purchasing an aftermarket Bluetooth adapter for the duration of your visit. It is a fast and easy fix, adapters cost between $10-$30.
If you have one of the premium models, just follow these steps:
- Put the Journey in park and activate the Bluetooth on your mobile device
- To make Bluetooth discoverable, follow the prompts on your Dodge Uconnect screen and press “Play”, then “Add Device”, then “Settings”. You should see a unique PIN pop up on your phone
- Next, pair your phone by selecting Dodge from the Bluetooth menu on the screen. If done correctly, the Dodge Uconnect system will confirm the pairing request
That’s all there is to it!
