Can I charge my electric car for free?
I’m thinking about switching over to an electric car to save money on fuel expenses, but I’m concerned about what the real cost of using public charging stations could be. Can I charge my electric car for free?

Depending on the model and make of your electric car, you may be able to charge for free at certain charging stations. Some EVs that offer free charging include:
- 2022 Audi E-tron GT: A partnership with Electrify America offers unlimited DC fast charging for three years.
- 2022 Audi E-Tron and Q4 E-Tron: These less expensive E-Tron models offer 250 kWh of charging for use within the first two years.
- 2021-22 Ford Mustang Mach-E and 2022 F-150 Lightning: 250 kWh of charging for use within the first two years at any Electrify America charging network station.
- 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5: Unlimited DC fast charging for 30 minutes per charging session for the first two years at any Electrify America charging network station.
- 2022 Nissan Leaf: $250 of charging credits at any EVgo station within one year of purchase.
