Can having gap insurance, the dealership's warranty, or LoJack on my cousin's new car save her money with car insurance?
My cousin is buying a new car through Carvana and the salesperson is recommending that she add on their warranty, theft protection, and gap insurance. They said that car insurance companies will provide discounts for having these on her vehicle. Is that true?

“While all of these can be helpful to have on a new car, your cousin may be able to find gap insurance and theft protection more cheaply through her car insurance carrier. Every carrier is different and doesn’t always provide the same discounts or coverages.
Before agreeing to the dealership’s coverages, your cousin should shop around. It may be helpful to also research her dealership’s warranty and read reviews.
