Can electric cars cause cancer?

I’ve heard rumors that exposure to the electromagnetic fields in electric cars could cause health complications, such as cancer, down the line. Is there any truth to this?

If you’re interested in buying an
electric car
, you don’t need to be worried about any added health risks that come with your new ride.
The good news is that choosing to drive an eco-friendly vehicle might not only be better for the environment, but it could be better for you as well!
In fact, driving a fully-electric car that produces zero tailpipe emissions could even reduce your exposure to carcinogens.
While it’s true that electric car batteries do produce an electromagnetic field, the exposure level produced by electric cars is well below the threshold of what can be considered harmful to humans.
Other sources of electromagnetic radiation that have been proven to not be harmful to humans include:
  • Computers
  • Cell phones
  • Microwave ovens
  • Bluetooth devices
  • MRI machines
So you can rest easy knowing that your electric car is not going to give you cancer.
