Can driving cause leg pain?

I’m so sorry to hear that! Driving can cause leg pain, so it may indeed be the culprit.
There are a few different ways driving can create discomfort in your limbs—identifying the exact cause will require you to think about the type of leg pain you’re experiencing.
For example, if you’re experiencing a shooting, throbbing pain that originates in your lower back and continues down one or both of your legs, you may have sciatica. Sciatica occurs when the sciatic nerve (which runs through the lower back and thigh) is pinched or obstructed for an extended period of time.
If your leg pain is radiating from your knee, you may have osteoarthritis in your knee joint as a result of repeated, isolated movements. Regularly switching between the gas and brake pedals while city driving is an example of a repetitive movement that can cause this kind of arthritic pain.
Drivers can also face delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), or muscular pain that occurs after stopping movement. This may occur when you finally get out of the car after a long trip.
