Can car dealerships, like Honda, provide temporary insurance while leasing a vehicle in South Carolina?

Can I purchase insurance from a dealership instead? I know that dealers require insurance to purchase the vehicle, but I don't have any lined up.

“While your car dealership might not offer its own car insurance policy, they may provide you with recommendations or other providers.
If you’re planning on owning a vehicle, temporary car insurance may not be the best option.
You’ll want to purchase your own policy that at least meets the state minimum car insurance requirements.
Many insurers will let you list a vehicle under your insurance a few days before you officially purchase it so that you’re covered from the day you drive off the lot.”
