Can a Pontiac G6 be tuned?
I was thinking that it would be fun to do some tinkering with my old Pontiac G6 and maybe get it tuned. Can you even get a G6 tuned though?

Sounds like a fun project! Tinkering and tuning can be a great way to improve your car’s performance as well as an enjoyable pastime. As for your question, yes— a Pontiac G6 can be tuned.
With the G6, as with most vehicles, there are two main ways that you can tune it to improve performance. The first is the old-fashioned way of replacing key components to tease out a few extra horsepower here and there.
Alternatively, you can also use the OBDII connector to access your car’s engine control unit (ECU) and rewrite some of its software in order to achieve the same results. This is called chip tuning and it’s usually cheaper than traditional tuning. Plus, you don’t really need to know much about computers in order to do it—just buy one of the chips with tuning codes already programmed onto them!
Once you’re done tuning your Pontiac, don’t forget to use Jerry—the car insurance comparison super app—to shop for better insurance deals and save yourself some money! It only takes a few minutes and saves drivers an average of $800+ a year!
