With some modifications, a 2JZ engine can fit in your Camry
. However, to do this engine swap correctly will be a costly process—likely more than the car is worth. One of the issues is that the 2JZ is an incline-6, while the Camry is likely to have an engine compartment that won’t fit this modification. That means moving your gearbox or other components in your engine compartment to make things fit.
Also, the 2JZ is for rear-wheel drive cars, while Camry’s are usually front-wheel drive.
All this is to say: it’s possible, but it will be time-consuming and expensive. If this is your dream project and you’ve got money to burn, go for it. Otherwise, consider a different modification.
