At what point are car repairs and maintenance not worth it?

I'm well aware of the importance of car maintenance, but at what point are car repairs not worth the price or the hassle?

“If the car repairs or estimates are worth more than the value of your car, or you’ve put money into the vehicle recently that almost exceeded the value of the car, it’s time for you to part ways with your vehicle.
This doesn’t necessarily mean you should purchase a new vehicle, especially if you’re on a budget. A new vehicle has a sky-high cost, suffers from depreciation, and also requires you to get full coverage
car insurance
.
But if you still need a car, put together a reasonable budget and pay for one with cash. You won’t have a car note and you’ll only have to pay for
liability coverage
, which can save you even more money.
Whether or not you keep the car or buy a new one, it’s always a good idea to reevaluate your car insurance policy. It could be you’re overpaying and you don’t even know!
