At what age do you have to stop driving?
I’m getting ready to turn 85, and I’ve never had a ticket or gotten into an accident in my life. Still, my daughter just told me I’m too old to drive. She even said it’s illegal for me to drive past a certain age. Is that true?

! Contrary to what your daughter told you, you do not have to stop driving at a certain age. In fact, it would be illegal for any state to revoke your license just because you’d reached a certain age.That said, many states do have additional requirements for senior drivers to continue renewing their licenses. Here are a few examples of additional laws some states have in place for senior drivers:
- Drivers over a certain age may be required to renew their license in person.
- Drivers over a certain age may be required to complete a vision test to renew their license.
