Are turbos covered under the Ford powertrain warranty?
I’m buying a Ford with the EcoBoost engine. It’s a cool turbo that combines both power and fuel economy and I love that it’s the best of both worlds. However, I want to confirm its warranty eligibility. Are all turbos covered by Ford’s powertrain warranty?

Yes! All turbos are covered under the 5-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty from Ford. The powertrain warranty covers any manufacturing defects or poor workmanship that affect the engine, transmission, and drivetrain, or otherwise damages the drivability of the vehicle. Since the turbo is part of this group, you’ll be covered if it malfunctions or needs repair—as long as you didn’t cause the damage.
