Are tire pressure sensors covered under a Toyota warranty?

I keep seeing the dashboard light for my tire pressure sensors, so I finally decided to inflate the tires. Even after inflating them to the proper PSI and driving around for about 30 miles, the light remains on. Will the Toyota warranty cover tire pressure sensors?

The
Toyota
basic warranty should cover tire pressure sensors, but only if the malfunction is due to a manufacturer’s defect. If it’s a defect, the Toyota 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty should take care of the repairs for free.
However, if the sensors were the result of wear and tear or if you got new tires at a mechanic that was not certified by Toyota, you’re probably out of luck. If that’s the case, expect to pay between $80 and $140 per sensor for repairs.
