Are there toll roads in Oklahoma?

I’m moving to Oklahoma and my job requires me to be on the road most of the time. Are there toll roads in Oklahoma?

There are 11 toll roads in
Oklahoma
, each consisting of four lanes except for the Chickasaw Turnpike, which has just two lanes.
Oklahoma’s toll roads, known as Turnpikes are as follows:
  • Cherokee Turnpike: Located in the eastern part of the state, it extends US-412, running from just east of Kansas, Oklahoma, to just east of Chouteau.
  • Chickasaw Turnpike: A two-lane highway located in South Central Oklahoma, running from Murray County to close to SH-1 (near Roff).
  • Cimarron Turnpike: Connects I-35 in Noble County and Tulsa’s western suburbs.
  • H.E. Bailey Turnpike: Located in Southwest Oklahoma, the H.E. Bailey Turnpike connects Oklahoma City, Chickasaw, and Lawton before crossing into Texas and ending in Wichita Falls.
  • Indian Nation Turnpike: Oklahoma’s longest toll road that connects Henryetta and Hugo.
  • John Kilpatrick Turnpike: Lies entirely within Oklahoma City, connecting west of Council Road with exits to Sara Road, Morgan Road, and SW 15th Street.
  • Muskogee Turnpike: In Eastern Oklahoma, the Muskogee connects the Broken Arrow Expressway with Webbers Falls.
  • Turner Turnpike: The Turner connects Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
  • Creek Turnpike: Forms a beltway around Tulsa’s south and east ends.
  • Will Rogers Turnpike: In Northeastern Oklahoma and running parallel to US-66, this toll road connects Tulsa to southwestern Missouri.
  • Kickapoo Turnpike: Connects I-40 and I-44 in eastern Oklahoma County.
The easiest way to pay for use of the Oklahoma tolls is to use Pike Pass, which is valid in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas. Once you register, you’ll receive a transponder in the mail which you can affix to your windshield.
With a Pike Pass, you won’t have to stop at a toll booth when using the toll road—electronic meters will automatically record your entrance and exit, and the toll rate will be debited from your account. Using Pike Pass is about 5% cheaper than paying with cash.
Using the entire stretch of any Oklahoma toll road will range from $0.65 to $6.20 with a Pike Pass and between $0.85 and $7.75 when paying cash.
