Are there rest stops on the I-87 Northway?
Two of my friends just got into an art show in Montreal. We’re driving up I-87 from New York City, and I was just wondering if there are rest stops on the I-87 northway?

That’s awesome! There are indeed rest stops on the I-87 Northway, better known as the Adirondack Northway. Please note that these are not the fancy, upscale rest areas you might find on other highways in
New York State
. They’re simple rest areas to get out of the car and stretch your legs or take your dog for a walk.Here’s a list of them:
Northbound:
- Clifton Park(mile 15)
- Glens Falls(mile 40)
- Bolton—parking only, no restrooms or amenities (mile 64)
- Schroon Lake—parking only, no restrooms or amenities (mile 82)
- High Peaks (mile 96)
- Elizabethtown/ Lincoln Pond (mile 111)
- Valcour (mile 146)
- Point Au Roche (mile 168)
Southbound:
- Beekmantown Welcome Center (mile 161)
- High Peaks (mile 99)
- Warrensburg—parking only, no restrooms or amenities (mile 66)
- Glens Falls(mile 40)
