Are there any rest stops on I-65 in Alabama?
My bestie and I are planning a big road trip from Houston to New York City, with lots of stops along the way. Are there any rest stops on I-65 in Alabama? Neither of us has ever been there, and we’re curious!

That should be a really fun road trip! And yes, there are rest stops on I-65 in
Alabama
. Not as many as you’ll find in other states, but there are an adequate number of places to get out of the car and stretch your legs.You’ll find four rest areas along I-65 in Alabama, which we’re listing out here, along with their mile markers and the names of the cities they’re each built in or near. This includes northbound and southbound rest areas:
- Evergreen, milepost 84
- Greenville, mileposts 132 and 133 respectively
- Clanton, milepost 213
- Cullman, milepost 301
Alabama’s I-65 rest stops are clean, quiet, and safe, though you of course always want to be careful whenever visiting any rest area regardless of which state you’re in.
It may seem like there aren’t many rest stops there, but remember you’re also passing through Alabama’s biggest cities, including
Mobile
, Montgomery
, and Birmingham
