Are there any Honda Civic LX recalls?
Are there any Honda Civic LX recalls? My car’s been acting strange lately and I can’t figure out why.

With such a long vehicle history, it shouldn’t be too surprising to say that there are several existing Honda Civic LX recalls.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website, the most numerous recalls for Honda Civics are tied to many model years from the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Many Honda Civic LXs would have also been affected by the massive Takata airbag recall, including the 2001-2011 model years. Years into this recall, more vehicles continue to be added to the list, so it’s an especially good idea to periodically check for airbag-related recalls if you’re driving a Honda Civic LX. Fortunately, affected vehicles can have the necessary components replaced for free.
Since you don’t specify what strange symptoms you’re noticing with your vehicle, or how old it is, it’s hard to say for sure whether it’s related to a Honda Civic LX recall, but you can look up recalls with your VIN or make and model year on the NHTSA website at nhtsa.gov.
If your Honda Civic LX is affected by a recall, Honda should help you fix the problem at no cost.
You can check on other consumer complaints and open investigations here, too. If you don’t find an issue related to the one you’re noticing, it might be a good idea to visit a mechanic for an inspection if you think the problem is serious enough. Lastly, while looking out for your Honda Civic LX, ensure your car insurance policy is doing the same!
