Are there any hidden fees I should be aware of before taking out a car loan?
I'm trying to budget out the cost of financing a car. What hidden fees should I consider?
Hidden fees, or ones that people can overlook, may include a prepayment penalty, gap and credit insurance, and an extended car warranty. All of these should be somewhat negotiable and will affect the amount of interest you pay. Gap insurance, credit insurance, and an extended warranty may all be found for less money by shopping around.

Can I insure my 19-year-old daughter's car for her since she has a poor driving history?
My daughter has one accident (not her fault) and two speeding tickets already, and she's not even 20 yet. Her quotes are way too expensive. Can I get car insurance for her in my own name so we can pay less?

Can I keep the money left over from my homeowners claim?
Do I have to give the leftover money from my homeowners claim back to the insurance company? We had a kitchen fire and had to have the whole room gutted and redone. The estimate came in around $37,000 but it ended up only costing about $34,000. I don't want to be dishonest; however, it would be nice to keep the extra cash.
