Are headlight bulbs universally sized?
The headlights burnt out on my car! Since I’m trying to save money right now, I’m planning on replacing them myself. But, I’m not sure if I need a specific headlight size. Or, are car headlight bulbs universal?

When it comes to buying new headlights, there are three standard sizes that are universal (i.e. H1, H4, and H7 bulbs). So, all H1 bulbs will be the exact same size no matter the brand or place you buy them from! This applies to H4 and H7 bulbs as well.
However, the sizing is different between these three bulbs, not to mention different from every other bulb variation! All this means is that it’s important to make sure you’re purchasing the correct bulb for your car. Try consulting your owner’s manual to see what type of bulb your car takes.
