Are electric cars efficient when traveling?
I’m in the market for a new car, but I also travel frequently. I was thinking about buying an electric car, but I’m not sure how great they are for travel. Are electric vehicles efficient when traveling?

From a pure efficiency standpoint, electric vehicles are highly efficient, offering around four times the fuel economy of gas-powered vehicles. Moreover, electric cars have lower maintenance costs and are whisper quiet, which are both attractive qualities for traveling.
However, many prospective buyers of electric vehicles point to limited range as a major concern when they are thinking about purchasing one—and with good reason. While the U.S. has 46,000 charging stations, most of them are concentrated in California, New York, and heavily populated areas. So if you want to go on a road trip, an electric car isn’t always ideal.
That said, many hotels and some businesses have started to provide electric charging stations to customers. If you’re still considering an electric car, make sure to download the EVHotel app, which lists hotels that have charging stations.
Other apps, like ChargePoint, can also help you locate charging stations, providing you with essential information to plan your trip.
