- Talking to those to whom you owe money (credit card or loan companies) and ask for extensions or short-term help
- Ask friends and family for help
- Check local community resources like churches or libraries for financial advice programs/assistance
- Reaching out to your bank or financial institution for help or solutions
- If a collections agency is already contacting you, reach out to them and set up a repayment plan–most agencies are helpful when it comes to working with you
A title loan might sound like a good option, but it’s considered predatory lending and is banned in many states for that reason.
