Are car keys covered on home insurance policies?
I somehow bent my car key and now I can’t start my car. I also lost my spare, so I’m in a pinch. I know I’ll have to pay for a new key, but can I submit a claim to my home insurance? Are car keys covered on home insurance policies?

membership. Although you can argue that car keys are personal property, the cost to replace a key typically wouldn’t exceed your home insurance deductible. At most, key replacements often cost $150-$200, and most personal property deductibles are $500.
