Are AirPods legal while driving?
I like to listen to podcasts while I’m out running errands, but I don’t want to pause them every time I get out of the car to run into a store. Is it legal to just wear my airpods while I’m driving around, so I don’t have to keep switching from my car radio to my smartphone?

We love a great podcast too, but in most states AirPods are not legal while driving. In fact, distracted driving laws make it illegal to wear any type of headphone or earbud while driving in most states.
Headphones and earbuds—or AirPods—make it easy to get distracted by the content of a great podcast and lose focus on the road. They’ll also make it more difficult for you to hear things like emergency vehicles’ sirens, another car’s horn, or squealing tires, increasing the odds that you might be in or cause an accident.
While AirPods have the same effect on you in every state, not all states ban their use, and some do allow drivers to wear a single AirPod or earbud while driving. Check your local laws before you give this a shot, though.
