Will getting home insurance quotes impact my credit score?
My credit score is pretty bad and I'm trying to raise it. I'm also looking for a new home insurance policy. I'm worried that getting quotes will hurt my score.
Thanks for the question! The answer is no, getting quotes has no impact on your score. When running the reports for a home insurance policy, carriers are only making a soft credit inquiry. This will not impact your credit score or hurt you when buying a home.
