Who's at fault after I collided with a car that was moving out of a parking spot?
A car was pulling forward out of a parking spot, but I didn't see it in time while driving down the main lane of the parking lot and we collided. Which driver is at fault in this situation?
Sorry to hear about your accident. In this situation, the driver who was exiting the parking spot would be considered at fault.
Navigating the rules of parking lot driving can be tricky, especially in this type of situation where it may not be immediately clear who’s responsible for the collision. The best way to protect yourself is to drive at low speeds and be very aware of your surroundings.
