Is a teen driver covered by their parents' car insurance while earning their learner's permit?
My daughter is going to get her learner's permit this year. She won't have her own car for at least the next year and will be driving our Toyota while she learns to drive. Do I need to get her seperate insurance?

Yes, the teen driver is covered, though depending on the car insurance company they may need to be listed on the policy first. You should contact your insurance provider to verify whether the teen needs to be listed with a permit or if the company prefers to wait until they have their driver’s license.
