If you’re going to be traveling and renting a vehicle, it may be a good idea to get a quote for non-owner insurance, which can cover you for liability and be a cheaper alternative to purchasing coverage from a rental car company. Non-owner insurance won’t cover any damage to the rental car, but you do have the option to purchase collision coverage through the rental car company at an affordable rate.
