How much car insurance coverage do I really need?
I feel like auto insurance companies are always trying to upsell me, but I live on a budget and I don't want to pay for stuff I don't need. How much car insurance coverage do I really need to be protected?

It’s recommended that you carry the best car insurance coverage you can afford. If you just need the minimum level of coverage, that’s fine. If you can carry higher limits, that’s great! If you own your home and have more assets to protect, then higher limits are recommended. If your lienholder requires deductibles, then carrying lower deductibles will be pricier per month but easier on you when you need to make a claim.
It’s a matter of finding the right balance between buying affordable car insurance and still having a decent policy. When you find a broker or agent you trust, having that conversation is a lot easier!
