Does home insurance cover slab leaks?
I'm starting to suspect that I've got a slab leak on my property. It'll be expensive to fix and I don't know if I can afford it right now. Will insurance help cover the cost?

Questions about foundation and slab leak coverage can be very tricky to answer because there are a lot of variables. First, check to make sure loss to the foundation and water damage are covered by your policy. If either one is excluded, then the slab leak is not covered.
If both are included, then it depends on if there is damage to the home and if it was “sudden and accidental.” If the adjuster can see that the leak happened slowly over time, due to poor home maintenance or an excluded peril (like tree roots intruding into the slab), then it is not covered. If the damage was hidden and not due to neglect, then you are covered.

Can a car loan be rescinded if I already signed the contract and drove the vehicle off the lot?
I purchased a car from a dealer. At closing, they said my financing looked fine. I signed the papers and drove the car home. A week later, the dealership called and said that the lender had kicked back our loan. I already sold the car I had. What now?

Should I buy collision and liability insurance for a rental car or borrow my parents' car for a road trip?
My partner and I are planning a three-month trip around the US. Neither of us owns a car. I got a good deal for a rental, but the insurance is more than the cost of the rental. Alternatively, my parents have offered to let us borrow their car with 150,000 miles. Which is the better option to cut costs?
