Does home insurance cover mold removal?
Some mold has developed in my basement. I'm dreading having to fork over a ton of money to get rid of it. Will my insurance help cover removal?
Generally speaking, mold in and of itself isn’t covered by home insurance. However, if your property develops mold as a result of something else that is covered by your homeowners insurance, then removal will be covered.
