Does car insurance cover engine failures?
I haven't gotten into an accident or anything, but my car's engine is starting to break down. I do have car insurance. Will that cover the engine?

Traditional car insurance policies only cover repairs to your vehicle if the damage is due to an accident. Engine failure falls under the category of wear and tear, and generally this is not covered by your auto insurance policy.
