Can I transfer a car title to my name without a license or insurance?
I don't have my driver's license or auto insurance yet, but I found a used car selling for a great price and I don't want to miss out on it. Can I transfer a car title to my name without a license or insurance?

Congratulations on finding a great deal on a car! You can legally own the car and have the title in your name, but you won’t be able to drive it legally without a license and insurance.
Check with your local DMV to see what documents you will need in order to register the car. The majority of states will require that you have a valid driver’s license and car insurance in order to register the vehicle.
Typically, anyone can purchase a vehicle if they have the money, but registering the car and making it legal to drive is a separate process.

Will the insurance rates on my Toyota Corolla go up if I get my own policy instead of staying on my parents' policy?
I'm a 26-year-old first-time driver, but I've been on my parents' insurance since I took driving lessons. Currently, I have a Toyota Corolla. Is it cheaper for me to stay on their insurance or get my own?
