Can I transfer a car title to my name without a license or insurance?
I don't have my driver's license or auto insurance yet, but I found a used car selling for a great price and I don't want to miss out on it. Can I transfer a car title to my name without a license or insurance?
Congratulations on finding a great deal on a car! You can legally own the car and have the title in your name, but you won’t be able to drive it legally without a license and insurance.
Check with your local DMV to see what documents you will need in order to register the car. The majority of states will require that you have a valid driver’s license and car insurance in order to register the vehicle.
Typically, anyone can purchase a vehicle if they have the money, but registering the car and making it legal to drive is a separate process.

Can I turn down a car loan that I was approved for if the vehicle doesn't pass an inspection?
"I want to buy a car from a private seller, but I have reservations about doing so. I was approved for a $10,000 car loan from my credit union already. What I want to know is: can I turn down the car loan if the vehicle doesn't pass the inspection from my personal mechanic? Will this hurt me in any way?"
