Are there any parts of the car that aren't covered by insurance?

So car insurance is supposed to cover damage to a car. But are there any particular *parts* of a car that wouldn't be covered by car insurance?

Thanks for the question! Any aftermarket parts (those that are not made by the original equipment manufacturer) installed on the vehicle are generally not covered by insurance. It’s a good idea to check in with your insurance company to find out the details of what is and is not covered under your specific policy.
