How many Chrysler Turbine Cars were made?
My dad collects old car magazines and as I was flipping through them I saw an ad for a Chrysler Turbine Car. Awesome! Would it be possible to find one of those at a used car auction or through a private seller? How many were made?

A turbine engine car does indeed sound very awesome.
Unfortunately, they lived a short life. Only 55 Chrysler Turbine Cars were made if you include the five prototypes, and they were rolled out as tester cars that never went into full production.
Those 50 to 55 Chrysler Turbine Cars were built between 1963 and 1964, but ultimately they were too expensive to make in the US and too tax-expensive to ship in from overseas. I suppose it’s possible to find one of these vehicles floating around through a private seller or used car auction but I wouldn’t get my hopes up too high! The Chrysler Turbine cars were a rare breed.
