Of all the
luxury cars
on the planet, Lamborghini is one of the most recognizable and sought after. Owning a Lamborghini might be on your bucket list, but, for many, these sports cars are out of reach.
This may not be entirely true, though, as there are used models—some of which are now classics—that are a little more reasonably priced than the ultra-expensive new releases.
Here are some of the cheapest Lamborghini models to get your gears turning.
An older Lamborghini Murciélago is one of the cheapest Lamborghini models.

One of the cheapest Lamborghini models is truly unique

The 1988 Lamborghini LM002 was also called the Rambo Lambo, according to
Top Speed's
list of affordable Lamborghinis. It was Lamborghini's first foray into the sports utility vehicle market (long before the Urus), and very few of the luxury SUVs were made from ‘86 to ‘93.
While it's not your traditional Lamborghini sports car, it's unique and has distinctive military styling.
The LM002 had the performance that Lamborghini is so well known for, too. With a 5.2-liter V12 engine, the LM002 could reach 60 mph in only 7.7 seconds, which, back then, was nearly double the speed of a Range Rover.
Because of the collectibility and limited run of the LM002, it is more expensive than the others we will mention. You can own the LM002 for a cool $126,600.

Does getting one of the cheapest Lamborghini models mean sacrificing performance?

It may seem like you would be sacrificing some of what makes a Lamborghini so special by purchasing one of the cheaper models. That's not true at all.
For example, the 2003 Lamborghini Murciélago, which sells for an average price of $81,300, has all the power you'd expect from a Lamborghini. In fact, Top Speed says that it is probably the next best thing to a Huracan or Aventador for a lot less money.
The Murciélago has a powerhouse of an engine that hits 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds. The V12 has 572 hp and is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission.
Manufactured from 2001 to 2010, the Murciélago pioneered the classic styling that Lamborghini is now known for, according to Top Speed. The sloped hood and large angular headlights are still staples in Lamborghini's coveted styling today.

The costs of some used Lamborghinis are on par with other new vehicles today

Take the 2005 Lamborghini Gallardo, for instance. It is reselling at an average of $69,000. The Gallardo isn't quite as quick as the Murciélago, but still clocks a more than respectable 4.2 seconds from zero to 60 mph.
According to Top Speed, the cabin is spacious for a sports car, and the interior is luxuriously appointed with premium materials. Visibility is a little compromised, but this is not unexpected for a mid-engine vehicle of its type.
Even so, the Gallardo still has Lamborghini's characteristic performance and style, with more than 500 hp generated by a 5.0-liter V10 engine, and sleek aesthetics to match.
If you're looking for an even cheaper Lamborghini model, you're in luck. The 1988 Lamborghini Jalpa goes for an average price of just $44,800. That's more affordable than plenty of new luxury sedans on dealership lots today.
The Jalpa was meant to be an entry-level Lamborghini, even when new. Its 3.5-liter V8 delivers a respectable 255 hp, going from zero to 60 mph in 7.3 seconds.
While certainly not quite at the level of previously mentioned models, the style and price of the Jalpa make it well worth investigating.
It's rare, too. There were just over 400 made, making it both collectible and affordable.
