describes the 2020 Kia Cadenza as “a signal of Kia’s successful march toward luxury-oriented products.” 2020 was the newest and last model for the Cadenza, and it came with an upgraded exterior, a luxury interior, and a V6 engine carrying up to 290 horsepower.The 2020 Kia Cadenza came in two models: Technology and Limited. The Technology model starts around $38,885 while the Limited model comes in around $44,585 as a starting price. Both cars offer luxury features and feel at a reasonable price point compared to standard luxury car brands.
U.S. News rated the 2020 Kia Cadenza as No. 1 in their ranking of 2020 Affordable Large Cars. Consumer Reports also rated it highly, giving it a five out of five in categories like transmission, braking, and seat comfort (both front and rear). In all other categories, Consumer Reports gave the car a four out of five, except fuel economy where it earned a three out of five.

Notable features of the 2020 Kia Cadenza
The 2020 Kia Cadenza really shines with its interior features and design that make it feel like you’re driving a true luxury vehicle. The car has leather trimmed seats, beautiful quilted panels, and a large 12.3-inch infotainment system that’s a touchscreen for drivers.
The Cadenza also provides impressive storage, making it a great car for road trips or large families. Car and Driver reported they could fit six carry-on suitcases in just the trunk of the Cadenza alone. The space available would only increase as you fold the seats down.

Why was it discontinued?
The root of the issue with the Kia Cadenza was the lack of sales. According to

, despite the car’s impressive ratings, luxury feel, and stylish exterior, the Kia Cadenza sold just 1,265 units in 2020. Many criticized the Cadenza for having a lack of power and not-so-great handling. We also saw in Consumer Reports’ ratings of the car that it wasn’t environmentally friendly, scoring a five out of 10 on greenhouse gas emissions and a three out of 10 on smog rating.
Kia currently has no plans to bring back or replace the 2020 Kia Cadenza with any other model.
