Batman fans who are eager to see the new film The Batman will unfortunately have to wait a little longer. The movie, which stars Robin Pattinson, was originally scheduled to be released in June 2021 but was delayed to March 2022 due to the

COVID-19 pandemic

But there is good news. A new trailer of the movie was recently released, giving a sneak peek of not only the film but also the new Batmobile.

In addition, Lego, which previously made a Lego classic Batmobile, is now producing a Technic Set based on the new Batmobile. As a result, we’ve got an even closer look at the Caped Crusader’s new ride—and it’s different from any other vehicle he’s ever driven with its

reported, the new Batmobile appears to be a mid-engine car with retro muscle car attributes. Of course, the car is black, but there’s also red lighting. This is probably a reference to the original Batmobile from the 1960s television show—which was a remodeled Lincoln Futura concept car.

The new Batmobile doesn’t have the tank-like styling that we’ve seen in other Batman films and TV shows and instead appears to be a little more realistic. There also doesn’t seem to be any jet turbines or rockets, but photos do show an exposed V-configuration piston engine on the back.

The Batmobile also reportedly won’t be Batman’s only form of transportation in the movie. Supposedly there will also be a “Batcycle.”

With these details on the new Batmobile in mind, it makes sense that the new Lego Batmobile Technic set resembles a Chevrolet Camaro or a Dodge Challenger from the late 1960s or early 1970s, as reported by

There are 1,360 pieces in the Batmobile Lego Technic—so it may take even a veteran Lego builder a little time to construct!

Some notable features of the set include a yellow light brick to illuminate the grille and a red light brick that glows over a transparent rear engine, according to Car and Driver. There’s even front-wheel steering, two doors that open and close, as well as a hood. A spinning fire on the back of the Batmobile is meant to imitate a fire backfiring from the exhaust, just like in the movies.
