The Ford Everest shares a platform with its siblings

Also known as the Endeavor in other markets, the Ford Everest is a midsize SUV based on the T6 platform. The same body-on-frame platform underpins the Ranger in Australia and the version of the model sold in North America. The Ford Bronco Sport also uses the same base.
The Everest has been in production since 2015 but was launched as a concept car in 2003. Despite being an exceptional SUV, it has close competitors. This includes models like the Isuzu MU-X, Toyota LandCruiser Prado, Mitsubishi Pajero Sports, and Toyota Fortuner.

The Everest flaunts powerful engine options

MotorBiscuit
reported that the 2021 Everest model offers a choice of two diesel engines: a 3.2-liter five-cylinder that produces 178 hp or a 2.0-liter twin-turbo four-cylinder with 194 hp.
MotorBiscuit notes that the Everest may gain a hybrid variant soon. The redesigned 2022 model has gained attention and is expected to be released alongside the 2022 Ranger.
The current Ranger comes with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine capable of 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. The Ford Bronco has a 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-four capable of 300 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque.
The new Ford Ranger could potentially adopt the Bronco's more powerful engine options. If the Ranger gains more power, we can expect the Everest to get some extra oomph as well.
