What we know about the 2022 Lexus LX600

To be completely honest, we don’t know much about the 2022 Lexus LX600. Motor 1 caught the vehicle on the streets covered in some heavy duty cloth and camouflage to disguise it from onlookers.

But it does appear the Lexus LX600 doesn’t look too different from other Lexus models. There seems to be angled corner vents on the lower fascia, crossbars over a large grille, headlights that look identical to those on the Toyota Land Cruiser, wide haunches, and matching body lines.

The current Lexus LX570

The current Lexus LX570 boasts a 5.7-liter V8 engine with 383 horsepower for maximum power, so it’s safe to assume, if the new model follows the same naming structure, that it will have a 6.0-liter V8 under its hood. But, the number 600 in the new model could also refer to a six-cylinder engine, so we can’t be 100 percent certain.

The LX570 starts at $86,930, so it’s probable the new model will start in a range a bit higher than that. The LX570 is available in white, silver, black and green pearl colors, as well as both two- and three-row options. It has an impressive 7,000-pound towing capability, four wheel drive, large brakes and multi-terrain select, making it great for off-road or camping adventures. We expect the LX600 to have all, or upgraded, versions of these features.

In terms of safety, the LX570 has a blind spot monitor, trailer sway control, safety connect, parking assist and hill start assist. It would be a surprise to us if Lexus decided to take away any of these features in the newest LX600 model.
