Lexus
and Fender are two companies at the top of their respective fields. Fender has been making some of the world’s best guitars for over 60 years, and Lexus is the fourth-largest luxury car brand in the world.
According to
Motor Trend
, the two are working together to create a unique new guitar, based on the design of the Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series. All 100 examples of the limited-edition guitar will come in Lexus’s Structural Blue.
Lexus and Fender have joined hands to create a new guitar.

What makes this collaboration special?

The Fender Stratocaster is one of the premier electric guitars in the world. It’s been used by legendary guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix, Nile Rodgers, and Buddy Holly. The first was released in 1954, and the guitar has remained iconic in the world of music.
The 2021 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series offers a naturally aspirated V-8 with 471 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque, according to
Motor Trend
. The exterior features stunning Structural Blue paint, which will be the main connection between the car and the Fender Lexus LC Stratocaster.
It’s not just a simple paint color. Lexus’s scientists spent 15 years developing the specific blue, modeling it after the color of a Morpho butterfly’s wings. It was first applied to Lexus LC models in 2016.
The paint was developed to break up reflected light and create shadows in the curves and a rich blue in areas facing up, as reported by Motor Trend.

The Fender Lexus LC Stratocaster was designed by a master guitar-builder at Fender, Ron Thorn. The Strat was chosen for its curves, built for optimal performance, and perfect for showing the dynamic Structural Blue.
The guitar features other matching elements to the LC 500, including a guard made of twill carbon fiber to match the car’s spoilers. It also has two custom aluminum knobs, which is a shout-out to the 13-speaker Mark Levinson sound system in the car.
The stainless-steel frets, black and satin chrome headstock, and blue Richlite finish are all meant to mimic the design style of the LC 500. As an added car-like touch, the pickguard fasteners are made with black button machine screws.
Even the case of this one-of-a-kind guitar is customized to fit the Lexus theme. It’s wrapped in textured carbon fiber vinyl, with black leather touches on either end, and a Lexus logo embroidered into the underside of the lid to top it off.

What will the special edition guitar cost?
