Aston Martin
is a name to reckon with when it comes to high-speed performance cars. The British sports car is also synonymous with James Bond 007 movies. You can find it featured in scenes involving hot car pursuits, and as usual, it wins.
Every year, the automaker seems to release faster cars that outstrip the previous models' speed limits. With so many fast cars, it's hard to understand which Aston Martin model runs fastest on the track.
If you're looking for Aston Martin cars, you may be split on which model to choose. But for those in search of the fastest car,
says your list may only be limited to three models.
Aston Martin is known worldwide for its fast and eye-catching sports cars.

Aston Martin One-77: a perfection of the Gaydon-Era Marque

According to
the automaker's website
, the One-77 and Vulcan models have the top expected speeds among the automotive manufacturer's product lines. First released in 2008, the One-77 boasts being the most exclusive car from the brand's Gaydon Era. Astonishingly, only 77 stand-alone examples of the Debut Edition were released.
The One-77 is a potent blend of advanced technology, stunning design, and performance. The million-pound sports car packs a 7.3L V12 engine that cranks out 750 HP and 553 pound-feet of torque.
Upon its market debut, the One-77 was regarded as the fastest Aston Martin with a speed rating of 220+ mph. With such power, the One-77 can launch from 0 – 60 mph in 3.7 seconds.
It's easy to fall in love with the One-77's design. Its bodyshell is handcrafted from high-grade aluminum and then clad using rigid lightweight carbon-fiber monocoque, simply making it an art masterpiece on wheels.

DBS Superleggera: a speed machine

Superleggera is an Italian word that means "superlight" but don't let that fool you; there's nothing to be taken lightly about this car.
Available in a hardtop coupe and a convertible design, this grand tourer features a 5.2L twin-turbo V12 engine with a power output of 715-HP, enough to propel the car to a top speed of 211 mph.
Power is transferred to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. It's as light as it is quick, launching from 0 – 60 mph in 3.2 seconds. Step on the gas pedal and watch the 4,068-lb car take off like a rocketship.

Is the Aston Martin Vulcan the fastest Aston Martin currently available?

According to
Hot Cars
, the Aston Martin Vulcan is the fastest model right now. Based on the One-77, the Vulcan is Aston Martin's wildest-ever track-only car released in response to Ferrari's FXX and McLaren's GT-R models.
Aston Martin had two goals when creating the Vulcan. One was to shorten the gear ratio for increased downward force and, secondly, enhance its aerodynamics to alleviate drag. As a result, the Vulcan vaunts reduced lap times and enhanced responsiveness.
Although the initial thought was to use the existing One-77's 7.3L engine, Aston Martin decided to use a 6.0L V12 engine, which offered a higher liter capacity. After significant modifications, the 6949cc naturally aspirated engine's power surpassed the One-77's performance, delivering 820 HP and 575 pound-feet of torque.
With such power, the car launches from 0 – 60 mph in only 3.0 seconds and can reach a top speed of 225 mph. Surprisingly, only 24 Vulcans were made, each with an initial price of $ 2.3 million.
