But 2021 just might end its long winning streak, because the Dodge Challenger has officially outsold the Mustang after the first nine months of 2021. The Challenger looks like it’s in a great position to steal the Mustang’s title.
Right around June, the Mustang looked like it was going to pull off more sales for the seventh year in a row, as the Challenger was trailing the Mustang by about 1,082 sales in the United States. Since then, the Challenger showed it came to play, as it has sold a whopping 44,142 cars as of mid-October, compared to the Mustang’s 41,065.
Unless Mustang really pulls off a miracle, it looks like the Dodge Challenger will dethrone it, but we won’t have another official update until the race is over at the end of this year.
