background
A little extra horsepower can make driving even more fun. But some supercars are taking power to a whole new level, surpassing 1,000 horsepower with no intention of stopping there.
Cars like that are about as expensive as they are exclusive, but each would be an exciting drive all the same—though that power might be best tested off the roads. With the help of
AutoNXT
, we’ve compiled a list of four vehicles with seriously impressive levels of horsepower.
You can get a car with crazy horsepower but it’s going to cost a hefty amount.

Hennessey Venom F5

Hennessey Performance is known for their ability to enhance speed on a variety of cars, but now they’ve decided to start from scratch themselves.
Hennessey has created the Venom F5, a low-drag, carbon fiber speed demon with a whopping 1,817 horsepower and 1,193 lb-ft of torque. With that amount of power, the Venom F5 is the strongest combustion-engine car in the world.
The F5 uses a rear mid-mounted 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged Fury V-8 engine. This engine can get the F5 up to 62 mph in just 2.6 seconds.
Hennessey will only be selling 24 Venom F5s, each starting at $2.1 million, with hopes of delivering them later this year.

Koenigsegg Gemera

The Koenigsegg Gemera, or the “Mega-GT” as some like to call it, has a network of engines and motors behind its intense 1,700 horsepower. There is a 2.0-liter three-cylinder twin-turbo Freevalve engine producing 600 horsepower, and that works with three electric motors; two are designated to the rear wheels, and the other to the crankshaft.
The Gemera can go from zero to 62 in under 2 seconds and has a predicted top speed of around 250 mph. When strictly in electric mode, its top speed is closer to 186 mph with a range of approximately 31 miles.
Koenigsegg is releasing 300 Gemeras, which will cost around $1,700,000 each.

Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+

The
Bugatti
Chiron Super Sport 300+ is something of a special edition, modeled after Bugatti’s record-breaking modified Chiron from 2020. Last year, Bugatti configured one of their Chirons in the hopes of using it to break 300 mph. When it did, clocking in at just above 304 mph, it became the fastest car in the world.
Now, Bugatti wants to celebrate that title by releasing a collection of similarly modified Chirons to the public. These Bugattis will have a W-16 engine capable of producing 1,600 horsepower, which is 100 more than what the standard Chiron packs. Its top speed won’t quite be record-breaking at 273 mph, though it’s nothing to scoff at.
These rare supercars will cost $4.1 million, with only 30 copies in production.

Koenigsegg Regera

The Koenigsegg Regera is likely the most famous car made by the brand, and it certainly lives up to the hype with its 1,500 horsepower and 1,475 lb-ft of torque.
Multiple engines and motors feed into this beast. The engine is a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V-8, and it works in tandem with two 700-horsepower electric motors using a direct-drive system. The car can go from zero to 60 in 2.7 seconds and can get up to nearly 250 mph in under 20 seconds.
The 2021 Regera costs about $6,000,000, so good luck getting hold of one.
