At the height of
COVID-19
lockdown doldrums, some people couldn’t take it anymore. No more repetitive walks in the neighborhood, no more cramped workouts in the living room. It was time to get back out on the open road.
But with typical road trip stops inaccessible, many were looking for a holistic living space from which to make deals or ace finals. Accordingly, the
RV industry
saw a 6% increase in shipments from 2019 to 2020. And among these shipments were some jaw-droppers.
Read on to get a look at some of the most extravagant RV interiors.
There are a lot of options available when it comes to interior space on an RV.

Recreational vehicle or renaissance vamp?

A typical recreational vehicle is designed to minimally mimic the comforts of home. But what if you’re looking to live large in your tiny space?
Insider
reported on some RVs that are anything but minimal.
First up is the Newmar King Aire 4553, a $1 million shrine to shine. Interior lights illuminate highly polished countertops, brand new appliances, and artful lamps. It’s irresistibly bright and sleek.
Next up is the Foretravel Ih-45 motor coach, a $1.3 million beauty that boasts a traveling laundry room as well as a king bed and a TV that’s possibly wider than the windshield.
The Prevost H3-45 VIP, which costs $1.6 million, takes it to the next level with an interior design that’s more Plaza Hotel than Montana highway. Mirrored ceilings, a breakfast nook, and florid gold accents define this traveling suite.
And if you’re a celebrity, you can go one step further and try out an Anderson Mobile Estate, a favorite of the likes of Will Smith. RVs made by this firm are stunners: all sleek wood, soft lighting, and couches you could imagine sinking into after a long day of filming. Some of them even have multiple floors, in case you need to designate one as your trailer for between takes.

RVs on another level, somehow

RVs made by Marathon Coaches typically cost between $1.8 and $2.5 million, and they have the amenities to match the price tag. Probably the most gimmicky aspect is the remote control capability that the pricier Marathon offerings have: you can press a button to control how much light gets in and how warm it is inside. And that’s not even counting the fireplace.
In the $2 million or more range are the 2018 H3-45 Millennium Luxury Coach and the 2019 Newell Coach. Both have sparkling, spacious interiors, and you can choose between the Millennium’s heated floors and the Newell’s washer-dryer setup. If you’re seeking a comfortable couch from which to watch one or multiple TVs as the Rockies whizz by in the background, you can’t go wrong with either.

For a truly absurd interior experience, try the $2.5 million Furrion Elysium. With three giant televisions, a fireplace, and a hot tub, it’s hard to imagine wanting to leave. But if you must, rest assured that the roof helicopter pad is ready and waiting. And to round out this impressive group of RVs, take a look at the Marchi Mobile's EleMMent Palazzo Superior, which at $3 million is the most expensive in the world.
This mobile mansion is designed for ultimate luxury, notes Insider, with its king bed, rainfall shower, regular-sized kitchen, and 40-inch TV. There is a notable lack of helicopter pad on the Palazzo Superior, but the rooftop deck, from which you can toast the Tetons, more than makes up for it.
