It’s no secret that kids love cars—it’s why Hot Wheels, Matchbox, and ride-on toys remain popular. Luckily, there are also plenty of awesome car shows for kids these days that will keep your young ones entertained—and may even teach them a few lessons in the process.
Here’s a guide to some of the popular car shows for kids that are currently streaming on various platforms. Some are new, while others have been around for quite some time and have established their place in television history. Most of the shows are recommended for ages 4 and older.
Car shows for kids on Netflix
Kids love dinosaurs and trucks, so of course it makes sense to have a kids show that combines those two things. Dinotrux features Ty Rux and Revvit, who are friends in a world that has half-dinosaur, half-truck creatures. Ty Rux is the leader of the Dinotrux, a group that works together to defeat the evil D-Structs.
This show originated in South Korea, and focuses on the Robocar Poli Rescue Team, which protects the vehicles and residents of Broomstown.
‘The Adventures of Chuck and Friends’
This show involves a group of assorted trucks who go on adventures and get into tricky situations that they must get out of together. While doing so, they learn an important lesson along the way. Chuck is a dump truck and the star of the show.
‘Transformers Rescue Bots’
The Transformers have been popular as long as most adults today can remember, and they are still going strong with today’s generation. This show follows the adventures of transformers Heatwave, Chase, Blades, and Boulder and their human counterparts—which are emergency responders.
This show stars Hank, a 6-year-old who is best friends with a giant trash truck. Together the two go on fun adventures together exploring the world around them.

‘Bob the Builder’
This classic series has been popular since it debuted in 1998 and still continues to be a favorite among kids. While the main character Bob is not a vehicle himself, he has a crew of vehicles that any kid who loves cars will really enjoy.
‘Super Truck of Car City’
In Car City, Super Truck is a superhero who helps others when they have problems and need assistance. This is a great show for teaching your child about leadership and helping out your friends when they need it.
This show, which debuted in 1999, follows the adventures of trucks and construction machines. In these adventures, the vehicles teach lessons about thinking, learning, doing their best, and behaving.
Here’s another ‘90’s throwback. The British television series stars Brum, a small, vintage car that lives in a museum where he is on display. He takes off to explore his city each day.

OK, so this isn’t technically about cars, but about trains instead. However, for kids, cars and trains are equally loved. Follow along as three locomotives learn about cooperation and perseverance.
‘Tayo the Little Bus’
The show originated in Korea and features transit vehicles that teach life lessons about problem solving, teamwork, thoughtful behavior and more in a positive way.
