3 V12 Cars You Can Find in 2021

There are plenty of powerful cars out there, but those with V12 engines are some of the most impressive. Many
luxury car
brands have decided to take that extra step to bump up their engines on a few of their top-level models.
But V12 cars don’t come cheap. Each of the vehicles on this list hits well into six figures, so it might be tough to get your hands on one. With the help of
Top Gear
, we’ve laid out some options for V12 cars that are available this year.
With big power comes a big price tag.

Ferrari 812 and 812 GTS

First up is Ferrari. The Ferrari 812, as well as the 812 GTS, has a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 with a beautiful purr. The 788-horsepower model earned Top Gear’s “Noise of the Year” award, and it didn’t stop there.
The 812 Superfast has earned high praise from Top Gear for its powerful engine, which they called a “ruddy triumph” of a combustion engine.
The transmission is a seven-speed dual-clutch system and is placed on the rear axle to balance the car’s weight distribution. However, with such great power comes an equally great price tag, as the 812s come in at over $400,000.

Mercedes-Maybach S-Class

Other iterations of the S-Class come equipped with V8s or hybrid engines, but the strongest of them all is the S-Class V12. With 621 horsepower at its disposal and a chic light-brown leather interior, it certainly fits into the luxury tier.
Following the discontinuation of Mercedes’s other 12-cylinder options like the regular S-Class, G-Class, and SL, this S-Class will be the only V12-engined Mercedes.
Mercedes is pulling out all the stops for this powerful ride. They’ve doled out their Drive Pilot technology, a Level 4 autonomous driving system that allows the car to park itself. It can also use Level 3 tech that enables hands-free driving on certain stretches of the autobahn in Germany, though it won’t go over 37 mph.
With the V12 engine upgrade comes an increase in cost, pushing the S-Class over the $200,000 mark.

Rolls-Royce Cullinan

For the last car on our list, we have the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. SUVs equipped with V12 engines are pretty uncommon, making the Rolls-Royce Cullinan a rare find.
The Cullinan uses Rolls-Royce’s standard 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 with 563 horsepower. It’s a car that’s built to face nearly all driving situations, which can either be a boon or a burden. Its talents as an off-road vehicle are matched with a design meant to make the car a mobile viewing platform.
There are many aspects of this vehicle that might not be used at all, but the design is still impressive all the same. The car itself is quite heavy, but still maintains impressive ride quality and handling, though the weight does affect its mileage. The price lands between that of the S-Class and the 812 Superfast at around $300,000.
