Tesla
created a Cybertruck model in 2019. It hailed the truck as a large cargo truck with a large load capacity bed.
To show users how big the load bed was, the manufacturer added an electric ATV called Cyberquad that was driven into the cargo area during its unveiling as the automaker continues to break records.
The manufacturer did not anticipate that it would add the electric ATV to its commercial offerings. However, due to a positive market reaction to the addition, the automaker decided to take the Cyberquad seriously.
Jerry
will provide you with the juicy details of the electric ATV and other information.

Tesla did not do the original Cyberquad development

There has not been much since the unveiling of the Cybertruck a few years back. One of the reasons for this is that the development of the electric ATV did not involve Tesla. Rich Rebuilds is the company that decided that it wanted to rebuild the Cyberquad and see how it would work.
Interestingly, the original Cyberquad used by Tesla was not an original design by the electric automaker; instead, it was an ATV based on the Yamaha Raptor 700 chassis.
In addition, Tesla has postponed the production of the electric vehicle several times, which has also contributed to the lack of any news in this area.
However, Tesla has taken notice of the public excitement about the Cyberquad and announced that it would be an option in the upcoming truck. It would be their own-developed chassis this time around, not the Yamaha Raptor.

Tesla opened a competition to design the Cyberquad battery

InsideEvs
explains that Tesla recently released an announcement via its Chinese Weibo account asking experts and engineers to present battery designs that could fit on the Tesla Cyberquad.
The competition is called the 2022 World Battery Power Conference, Power Management and Integration Technology Challenge. Applicants should design a battery that has a maximum of 2,170 cells.
The automaker stated that the winning
battery
design could be used on the electric ATV when finally commercially produced. However, there are also economic prices for winning designs, up to $30,000.
Pundits believe that there will be several levels of prizes depending on the technical information and quality of the project, although Tesla has not given any additional details.
The competition winner will be announced at the upcoming 2022 World EV & ES Battery Conference (WEBC). Anyone can join the competition if they have the necessary skills in the area.

When is Cybertruck being released?

According to
Fortune
, the production of Cybertruck has been delayed for over two years, mostly blamed on the pandemic-induced supply chain problems. The company decided to push the launch date to the end of 2022 or early 2023.
At the Austin Tesla Giga factory opening, Elon Musk stated that the company would be scaling up its production to bring in the delayed products.
There has been a high demand for the Cybertruck over the years. Some sources say that Tesla could get a million orders, which could translate to over $80 billion. This is exciting news given that the Cybertruck is competing against the likes of the
F-150 Lightning
in the truck business.
